Dragonfly is a fundraising event on Nantucket created to inspire change with mental illness. The 8th annual Dragonfly will be held on Saturday, July 26th, 2025 at the Great Harbor Yacht Club.
The fundraiser was started after founder, Kate Kling, lost her sister, Christine McGugan, a mother of three girls, to suicide. Kate channeled her grief into Dragonfly, and to date, Dragonfly has donated $1.3 Million to mental health organizations on Nantucket.
Proceeds from Dragonfly 2025 will be donated to Fairwinds – Nantucket’s Behavioral Health Center, an agency that provides confidential, quality professional care to adults and youth on Nantucket who seek mental health and addiction services.
